Winning the local photography award was a complete surprise, honestly. I had submitted a candid shot I took of the morning fog settling over the old mill, never expecting it to catch the judge's eye. They said it captured the quiet beauty of our town better than any postcard could. It's just a small wooden plaque, but seeing it on my wall reminds me that the real prize is the joy of capturing those fleeting moments.
